PuriBliss-4p25b(II) DIY kit

Dear friends, I am pleased to announce the end of all preparatory, technical, and organizational activities associated with the promotion of my PuriBliss-4p25b(II) two-way loudspeaker project!

Since the initial project publication, more than a dozen of sophisticated listeners, including certified judge of multiple car audio competitions, have had the opportunity to get acquainted with it and evaluate its sound. Without exaggeration absolutely everyone was highly impressed, if not to say, amazed by the sound. The scale, dynamics, sound image, involvement effect, and complete incommensurability of the sound image with the size of the speakers - that's what left everyone frozen in complete bewilderment.

Another enthusiastic audiophile who expressed interest in this loudspeaker is my longtime friend from the USA, Konstantin (PKI at Diyaudio.com), a professor at the University of North Carolina. Konstantin has been passionate about designing loudspeakers and audio electronics for many years, and has more than a dozen designed and built loudspeakers to his credit.

In April 2017, at the AXPONA exhibition in Chicago, he had the opportunity to experience the sound of my Volya Audio "NoLimits" loudspeakers, to hear my audio "signature", so to speak. Together, we visited many rooms with different audio setups at the exhibition, had many conversations, shared impressions, and concluded that our views in audio largely coincide. We managed, despite being on different continents, to learn to speak the same language when it comes to sound description. This is extremely important and can only happen when both people listen to multiple sound systems together, using them as reference.

Konstantin possesses solid carpentry and woodworking skills, so he quickly constructed wonderful solid walnut enclosures for my PuriBliss-4p25b design and was able to evaluate their sound relying not only on my descriptions but also on his own ears. In short, he was impressed. Very much so, in fact. His comments can be read here.

He suggested that we strive to bring this sound to every audio aficionado's home, and we began working to make this happen. As a first step in our initiative, we are introducing the PuriBliss-4p25b (crossover version #2 at this moment) as a kit to the public. The kit contains the following parts and will allow you to assemble a pair of the speakers in your own cabinets:
